Answering the Questions: Liebster Award

it's been a while since I felt like a part of the internet community and for the most parts I am too busy to care - really, the wedding blog takes up all of my time. But when I decide to slow down and relax, this blog is just the perfect spot for me. I get to be me, talk about the most random stuff and engage with people I probably would never meet - sound awesome right? So the few times I get to notice a sense of community with this blog, I get excited and if I am not too busy, I participate.

For the very first time in my life, I am going to participate in the blogging community tag - called the Liebster Award. It is said that the Liebster award was created to recognize and/or discover new bloggers and welcome them to the blogosphere. Okay I may not be entirely "NEW" but after my deaths and resurrections of two blogs in the past 3 years, Gee's Lemonades can very much claim this "New" identity.

Thanks to Cee from "If You Say so" blog, who has placed this award in my bosom, I'd happily indulge!

1. What do you do?
Currently unemployed and job searching after moving to Canada. So by condition, I am a housewife and a professional wedding blog editor by choice and passion!

2. What kind of music are you into?
Contemporary Christian music is right up my lane! You know, the K-love kinda songs. I love to dance so that is where my love for Nigerian music comes in. Most of them are always very upbeat even if they don't always make sense.

3. What's one of the scariest things you've ever done?
The only thing I can think of would be trying out a godly relationship. My early years of dating were messy so it took me a while to be able to understand how to give my relationship to God. Every area of my life was easy to pray to God about but when it came to boys, I just couldn't. I eventually did and ....well, the rest is history!

4. What do you do for fun?
I love to look and talk about beautiful weddings, watch movies (Netflix and Iroko Tv are on my "best friends" list), and hang out with friends. My typical hang out would be a grown up slumber party where my girls (well I no longer really have that anymore  *weeps* I miss college!) would just stay home, listen to music, watch TV and do some amebo!

5. Describe your blog with a phrase.
This blog? Living life, overcoming challenges while flying GRACE airlines with Christ as the pilot!

6. Do you like to plan things out in detail or spontaneous?
Eeeeek...I am definitely detailed. Mr. Punch is the spontaneous one and sometimes it just annoys me. I mean, how do you just wake up one morning and want to plan a romantic getaway for the upcoming weekend? I mean who does that? For me, I'd like to create my to-do list, do my proper research, find all the deals and discounts possible, crosscheck our dates and schedules and then finally book that trip. I agree that sometimes too much planning spoils or even takes a way the whole fun but sometimes I just can't help it.

7. What was your life like growing up?
I'd say godly. I don't think I had a terribly "fun" childhood but whenever I look back, I am always grateful to God for the godly home he put me in. I may not have enjoyed not having a choice about going to church on Sundays but seeing my parents go through hard and difficult times and still trusting God certainly made me "give this God a try". I can't imagine what my life would have been had I been without God-fearing parents - too grateful!

8. Who in your life has influenced you the most? How did they do it?
After my parents which I have already talked about I'd say my husband. That is one person that keeps challenging me to be a better version of myself everyday. Not to sound cheesy and all but by loving me the way he does and challenging me to love even more, I think that just has a lot of power to change someone. I would be foolish to give him the glory for the love though, for it is Christ who has shed his love abroad in our hearts, he is just a physical channel for me in this physical world.

9. What's your favorite joke?
Anyone I tell. As long as I am telling it, it is funny and you better laugh. Seriously, you better laugh!

10. If you could try out any job for a day, what would you like to try?
After trying being a pilot, I think I'd love to live the life of a multi-billion dollar wedding blogger. Perhaps if I live that life for a day, I can come back to my real one and be inspired to keep on at what I already do.

11. If someone asked you to give them a random piece of advice, what would you say?
Love God, love people. Be ready to be uncomfortable a little bit to bring someone Joy.

* * * * * *
Yay and that goes my very first blogging community tag! *scratches head* I think I am supposed to tag people at this point but I honestly don't know any "new" blogs. *sigh* Not to be a party pooper but can we end the tag here then? Thank you!
